Graduate Student Conversation with Peter Mandler

Rutgers Graduate students are invited to an informal conversation about their ongoing research with Professor Peter Mandler on Tuesday, September 20 from 1:30 to 3pm. Professor Peter Mandler (Cambridge University), President of the Royal Historical Society, is coming to Rutgers as part of the Rutgers British Studies Center and Distinguished European History Lecture Series.  Mandler is a globally renowned scholar whose publications span histories of poverty and country houses, cultural politics and high politics, to the history of history. His most recent work on Margaret Mead turns to the history of the human and social sciences and marks his move into transnational Anglophone histories. He is also a leading public intellectual in ongoing debates about higher education in Britain. Light refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by the Rutgers British Studies Center.
