The Rutgers British Studies Center Presents:

Vernacular Poetics
Vernacular Poetics is a symposium bringing together poets, medievalists, and scholars of twentieth and twenty-first century literature to think about the relationship between linguistic change and formal and generic experimentation. Close attention to poetry and poetics in two distinct historical moments will refine understandings of vernacularity, language contact, and translation and put pressure on the idea of literature in English as a monolingual tradition.
